Must be familiar with office practices and procedures and government structure and processes. Must possess above average communication skills. Duties are performed seated, standing, or walking at will. Job requires no more than normal physical abilities such as lifting no more than 25 pounds and normal visual and hearing acuity. Work is performed in a standard office setting with adequate lighting, heating and ventilation.-or education, training, and/or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above.Operates high-level computer-based, word processing and other software applications to provide a variety of complex or technical information. Prepares confidential reports, analyzes information and prepares summaries. Prepares responses to inquiries and complaints relayed from County Commissioners Office and the general public. Tracks, records, and reports customer complaints utilizing available systems. Provide service to customers as necessary in multiple formats (phone, counter, correspondence, etc.) including follow up effort requirements. Understands and analyzes all account activity, including, but not limited to bill calculations, other fees, payment processing and adjustments. Recognize problems and take appropriate actions to resolve. Accurately prepare necessary account adjustments. Post account payments, prepare daily reports and analyze and resolve any discrepancies. Assists with special projects. Maintains communication link with all WRD functions and county agencies regarding status of services and maintenance efforts. Creates new customer accounts and schedules meter installations for new customers. Ensures timely and accurate installations as requested by customers. Assists with the development of procedures and provides input on department policies. Proofreads reports, documents, correspondence, and other materials before mailing. Assists with employee training and development.Monitors inventory and maintains acceptable levels of supplies. Verifies invoice amounts against original orders and prepares for supervisory signature. Performs routine clerical tasks (e.g., gathers data, prepares reports, searches files) as needed. Maintains department records/information system in conformance with county policy. Works alone or with other persons in short- or long-term team projects to resolve problems or conflicts in any area of county operations or to complete assigned projects at the direction of any county supervisor or Department Head when assigned. Participates in cross-training and maintains proficiency in area of cross-training as necessary. New and other related duties as assigned.
