Administrative Support Technician

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! FULL-TIME Opportunity

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vehicle inventory check/control of supplies and equipment.

Clean inside and outside of ambulance(s), including patient compartment and equipment

Restock ambulance supplies, medication, batteries, equipment, etc.

Mechanical check vehicles, fluid(s), belts, tires, pressure, battery, etc. and record info.

Ensure the workspace is clean and organized.

Requisition supplies for replacement.

Inform Supervisor of breakdowns and cause of equipment failure for repair.

Inform fleet maintenance of breakdowns and cause/reallocate ambulance to crew and keep accurate log.

Document condition of ambulance turned in and schedule ambulance preparedness for shift personnel.

Document and maintain equipment/medication/supply tracking log(s).

Validate and log medication hand-over logs.

Must always be professional and appropriately dressed.

Respond to daily phone inquiries from crews/supervisors regarding status of ambulances, crews or fulfill supply requests.

Performs routine checks, preparation, and appropriate disposal of bio-medical equipment.

Utilize maps to locate hospitals, medical facilities, and home addresses.

Provides careful handling, lifting, moving of the patient in moving them to the stretcher, ambulance, bed, etc.

Provides safe, orderly and efficient transport of the patient(s) (per DOT/State/Company rules) to destination.

Obtains information from dispatch, communicates other emergency services as needed during the call. In the absence of, or as directed by more qualified personnel, communicates with dispatch or receiving hospitals regarding patient status via phone or radio. Must follow FCC regarding communications by radio.

Obtains and records information for the Company as well as those required by medical, legal, and health authorities.

Collects, organizes, and records all patient information related to daily ambulance transports.

Works closely with administrative staff to monitor Patient Care Report documentation and communicates with Field Staff regarding missing paperwork.

Respects and holds in confidence all information of a confidential nature obtained in the course of professional work unless required by law to divulge such information.

Refuses to participate in unethical procedures and assumes the responsibility to expose incompetence or unethical conduct of others to the appropriate authority in a proper and professional manner.

Adherence to and compliance with information systems security policies and procedures.

Maintain punctual and regular attendance and has the ability to work past scheduled shift (Hold Over) with little or no notice.

Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to successfully pass the Physical Agility Test.

Aptitudes required for work of this nature are good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance at times.

Must be able to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 18 years or older.

Ability to work under time constraints with good record keeping skills.

Competent in computer programs such as Microsoft Office programs

Must meet the core job functions and job qualification standards for field operations personnel as described in the Standard Operating Procedure manual.

Ability to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check (including motor vehicle report, education, and employment history).

Ability to Successfully complete GMR EVOC certification and safely operate any GMR Emergency vehicle in compliance with GMR standards.

EDUCATION/LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:

Must have High School Diploma or GED.

Current adult and child CPR certification from AHA.

Current and valid State drivers license.

Driving record and background in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving Policy.

An EMT/Paramedic License is NOT required for this position.
