Location: Palm Beach,FL, USA
Performs clerical duties involving public contact on the phone and in person. Responsible for composing correspondence and/or taking and transcribing notes. Inputs, accesses, and retrieves data from computer, applicable databases, and other appropriate systems. Greets and conducts intake for clients of the Supervised Release Program. Registers customers for the community service program. Answers a multi-line phone system; takes and forwards messages according to process established by management. Sorts incoming mail; affixes postage to out-going mail; follows mail security procedures. Provides clerical support to the Justice Services Division as necessary. Work requires the exercise of initiative and discretion in handling delegated administrative details. Work is performed under general supervision of an administrative superior and is reviewed upon completion for adherence to established policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months of responsible office experience.
PREFERENCE FOR TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN/WITH: Data processing, including database maintenance; cashiering.
Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
Will be required to pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check in addition to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office background check prior to appointment.
