This position performs technical and administrative duties in support of the Test Rental unit. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, dependable, with great attention to detail and technical skills with MS Office, SharePoint, and Adobe. This position requires interaction with clients and CPS staff members. The ability to learn and apply standard operation procedures and policies of the unit is essential.This exciting hybrid opportunity is a full-time position requiring 40 hours a week. It will include a combination of remote and in-office work.Typical job functions include but are not limited to:
  • Performing various para-professional administrative duties, such as editing, proofreading, and formatting documents in Adobe and Word.
  • Coordinating the assembly of exams and the editing of test items.
  • Creating customized proctor or candidate instructions for exams.
  • Editing, proofreading, formatting, and assembling exams using a complex computerized item bank. Manipulating data in Excel (e.g., formatting, formulas, tables, charts) for various reports.
  • Communicating via phone and email with clients, candidates, and prospective clients in the scope of providing information on behalf of Test Rental and in carrying out assigned tasks and duties.
  • Verifying accuracy of data using various software and processes.
  • Identifying and solving issues related to inaccurate data.
  • Participating in unit meetings, process improvement efforts, and other team functions.
Ideal CandidateOur ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be passionate about achieving the organization's mission, initiatives, and strategic needs and goals.Desirable characteristics:
  • Experience working in an item bank
  • Experience editing and assembling multiple choice written exams
  • Self-directed and comfortable with minimal direction
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to operate in a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge or experience in the public sector and/or human resources
  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn various software
Minimum QualificationsAny combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: EDUCATION: Equivalent to an associate's degree in business or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
