About the job Administrator, LNHA Description EXCELLENT BENEFITS EXCELLENT TEAM APPLY TODAY Betsy Ross Nursing Rehab Center is a 120bed facility offering excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a lovely homelike environment undergoing AN EXCITING LARGESCALE RENOVATION UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT Our mission is to provide high quality care to all with respect and compassion through a team approach that focuses on personalized goals We offer EXCELLENT Aetna Health benefits 1st of the month after hire date along with other key benefitsDevelop policies and procedures which meet state and federal regulations as well as the Ownerships approvalIs responsible for implementation and adherence of the policies and procedures to ensure the standards of resident care and servicesOversees all Departments and Dept Heads including but not limited to Director of Nursing Director of Maintenance Director of Rehab Director of Social Work Director of Dining Services Director of Admissions Director of Recreation and Director of Housekeeping and LaundryAssures the financial stability of the facility through annual budgeting master staffing and strategic planningBe responsible for the day to day operation of the facility including but not limited to general supervision hiring and employee terminationEmploy or otherwise arrange for the services of such personnel as are required by the facilityEnsures the integration of the services of the facility with the community health resourcesInvolves staff at all levels in developing and implementing an interdisciplinary approach to resident serviceInitiates programs and policies between departmentsApproves Job Descriptions for all staffConducts Department Head meeting QAPI meetings Safety meetings etc with minutes kept on file in the administration officeConducts other required committee meetings and staff meetings as necessaryBe readily accessible to staff and residents for consultationInvolve Resident Council in addressing the need to achieve compromise between conflicting resident and staff interests and their needsEncourage professional and respectful behavior on the part of the staff towards residentsAssure that a method is implemented to promptly deal with complaints and recommendations made by residents or designated representativeAnalyzes all new equipment and work processes for safety and Personal Protective Equipment useProvides training in safe work procedures Supervises and evaluates employees for safety and health performanceReports and analyzes all accidents and near accidents Takes steps to prevent future occurrencesResponsible for excellent outcomes and minimum deficiencies for NYS federal surveys and inspections including infection control surveysWorks with the DON and Infection Preventionist to manage and control infection control practices ensure adequate PPE and trainingAdheres to all state and federal regulationsReviews admissions to make sure facility can meet level of care requirements for potential admitsRequirementsNYS Nursing Home Administrator License Active in GoodStandingPleasant personality and ability to work with residents families and staff from various departmentsWorking knowledge of the resident care processesMust maintain a professional appearance as it pertains to representing the facility community relations and community outreachPertinent Federal State and local laws codes and regulations regarding health careMay be required to stay at or return to work during public health incidents andor emergencies to perform duties specific to this classification or to perform other duties as requested in an assigned response position This may require working a nontraditional work schedule or working outside normal assigned duties during the incident andor emergencyBachelors degree in any healthcare related field or equivalent experience in a Long Term Care facilityShall meet all the requirements and conditions set forth by the New York State Department of Health Board of Nursing Home LicensureMinimum of three to five years experience in the areas of long term careM-7042300846
