Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Adirondack, Banner, Concur, Touchnet; work experience with students in an educational setting.Essential Duties/Responsibilities: •Assist in the leadership and administration of residence halls, suites, and apartment system. •Ensure office processes are in compliance with appropriate university policies. •Participate in the central office duty schedule. •Direct, manage, and oversee the operations of the residence hall front desk system, ensuring an exceptional customer service experience for stakeholders. •Maintain oversight of student staff and professional staff.•Maintain the oversight processes of payroll and hiring. •Actively participate in campus outreach programs including Dawg Days, Orientation, Newly Admitted Student, etc. •Develop and implement both internal and external communication on behalf of Housing and Residence Life. •Create a communication plan that will provide regular and timely updates to the residential community about policies, procedures, urgent events, and other pertinent updates related to their housing experience. •Maintain and manage all the fitness areas in Residence Halls, Apartments, and Suites. •Maintain and update the website as needed. •Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.•Support, promote, and develop University student enrollment and retention initiatives.•Utilize all formats of media to communicate on behalf of Housing and Residence Life. •Work with University Advancement and Marketing to develop and implement a marketing plan for recruitment and retention of students to on-campus living. •Recommend for hire, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned front desk student staff.•Develop and implement dynamic and impactful campus wide programs that encourages the building of community including move-in, move-out, and various other ways to encourage campus community building. •Lead the coordination and efficient execution of the departments summer conferences program.•Provide excellent customer service to all summer conferencing participants ensuring efficient and accurate smooth operations in all aspects of logistical planning.•Provide secondary support and leadership in managing the housing assignment process for the residence halls, apartments, and suites. •Assist in the successful operations and implementation of housing management software, ensuring efficiency and accuracy of operations, and delivery of services to stakeholders.•Partner in the execution of all housing operations and coordinate processes related to residence hall, apartments, and suites occupancy transactions including, but not limited to: room changes, assignments, cancellations, waitlists, room selection, and ADA accommodations.•Serve as secondary support for all of Housing's computer software including THD, Maxient, AIM etc. •Inventory control of furniture, supplies, and storage for all of Housing and Residence Life. •Serve as secondary support for business operations. •Provide support to manage housing budget operations including responsibility to reconcile, review, analyze, forecast budgets, including deficits/projected revenue. •Participate in the recruitment, training, and retention of residence hall professional and student staff. •Serve on campus-wide committees as appropriate. •Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information.•Supervises student staff. •Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with University policies and applicable laws.•Perform any other duties assigned within the position classification area.Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Skills and Abilities: •Demonstrated commitment, experience and understanding for diversity, equity and inclusion. •Demonstrated ability to communicate in different formats. •Understanding of managing projects and logistics.Required Documents:
