The Administrator in Training (AIT) is an extensive training program, that varies in length and curriculum based on level of experience. You will receive practical on-the-job training and mentorship in our skilled nursing facility under the direct supervision of an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
You will gain a thorough understanding of the following:
Our culture, operating model, systems and what it takes to be a successful leader. You will take on projects and real responsibilities at your host facility after mastering the fundamentals of our business.
The survey process, survey tag numbers, and quality measures.
Reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing Center administration.
The laws, regulations, and guidelines governing personnel administration.
Qualifications: this is on the job training, unpaid
Must have completed at least 60 semester hours of education from an accredited college or university
Must be enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program, preferably in Public Health Administration, Business Administration or health related field.
Strong communication skills and ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Strong ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation.
