Conemaugh Miners Medical Center is seeking a full-time Admission Clerk. The Admission Clerk is responsible for all patient registration functions, answering incoming calls and placing outgoing calls through the PBX and beeper system. Directs patients/families, salesmen, clergy, etc., to their destination in the hospital. Responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographic and insurance information during the registration process. The admissions clerk will minimize the financial risk of providing services by assessing the patient's financial status, verifying all account information, obtaining signatures on all required hospital and regulatory forms and obtaining applicable patient payments prior to services being provided. Excellent customer service skills are utilized in all dealings with patients, physician's offices and third-party payers. Who We Are: People are our passion and purpose.
