Admission File Reader (PT) Under the general direction of the AVPEM/ Dean of Admission, the Admission File Reader will work remotely from the Admission Office on the Milton Campus and/or their home and will evaluate completed admission files to formulate admission decisions or to make recommendations of an admission decision. The Admission File Reader is the preliminary source for undergraduate student application review based on in-house training; written guidelines, and best practices set forth by the strategic planning of the Admission Office. The Admission File Reader must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills. The Admission File Reader, as a member of the admission team, will participate in accomplishing the goals of the Admission Office including evaluating applications, working with prospective students when needed, and participating in on-campus recruiting events. Essential Functions:1. File Evaluation:
- Evaluates admission files to assist in finalizing admission decisions;
- Develops a working knowledge of all Curry College curriculum, with specialized knowledge as assigned;
- Assist prospective students through the application process when needed.
2. Campus-Based Events:
- Participates in on-campus recruitment/yield events as assigned;
- Recruitment;
- Conduct prospective student interviews and admission information sessions as assigned;
- Attend off campus recruitment/yield events when needed.
Additional Functions:
- Attend Reader training sessions.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor of his/her designee.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Requires strong analytical, reading and writing skills.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment and understanding of the benefit in recruiting a diverse student body.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication, organization and interpersonal skills; strict attention to details; self-motivated; must be able to work independently and as a part of the admission team.
- Competency in computer and software skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word & Salesforce CRM
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of a liberal arts college is strongly desired.
- Experience in college admissions, recruitment, student services and/or financial aid processing is strongly desired.
