Position: Admission Services Representative I
Location: Tampa- Clearwater Campus
Responsibilities:
This job description outlines the responsibilities of an Admission Services Representative I in a university setting working in NSU's Student Affairs and College of Undergraduate Studies at our Tampa – Clearwater campus.
The Admission Services Representative I support enrollment objectives by providing superior customer service to prospective students from the point of inquiry through enrollment, resulting in enhanced student engagement and retention.
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Provide support with application and enrollment documents.
2. Review student applications, including credentials, GPA calculation, transcript verification, and application package preparation for admissions decisions.
3. Contact prospective students to explain program offerings, admission requirements, and services via phone or email.
4. Collaborate with admissions teams, academic advisers, and financial aid officers to ensure a smooth transition from inquiry to enrollment.
5. Participate in on-campus events (e.g., fairs, open houses, tours) to promote programs to prospective students.
6. Manage admissions data by inputting decisions, classifying information, verifying accuracy, and maintaining records.
7. Set up and manage electronic or paper filing systems, updating paperwork and documents as needed.
8. Identify and correct data entry errors and maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
9. Respond to routine inquiries about records and maintain logs of filed and removed materials.
10. Perform general administrative duties, including answering calls, handling mail, ordering supplies, and transcribing documents as required.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Two (2) years of clerical/administrative experience in an office environment.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
