Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.The Admissions and Outreach Specialist performs the following functions:
- Pre-Admissions Career Advising and Outreach: Partner with lead admission counselors to develop and execute recruitment strategies. Provide career advisement to prospective students at the preadmission stage using college technology and career assessment tools. Collaborate with the Academic Departments to stay informed about college majors, pathways, and program offerings that align with students' educational and career goals.
- Recruitment and Event Support: Participate in and contribute to enrollment/recruitment events, including New Student Orientation. Provide support for all admission events.
- Outreach Events: Represent York Technical College at middle, high school, community, business/industry events to engage and inform prospective students about educational opportunities that the college has to offer.
- Campus Tours and Recruitment Events: Manage and organize campus tour requests. Facilitate campus tour events for prospective students, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience. Assist in planning and executing recruitment and enrollment events. Creates and manages events in the CRM system. Provides Quantitative reports for events.
- Territory Management and Reporting: Ability to manage and analyze data from assigned student groups. Manage an assigned territory of prospects, inquiries, and applicants from initial contact to the accepted enrollment phase. Utilize the CRM system to access the funnel as well as document outreach and follow-up needed to guide the student through the enrollment phase. Provide regular quantitative reports on territory management, career advisement, and follow-up outcomes. Provide course registration assistance to incoming students.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least two years of experience in recruiting and outreach, college admissions and/or college recruitment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with academic advising principles and registration practices.
- Previous experience in territory management and reporting.
- Experience with CRM systems and data management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel in the tri-county area for recruitment events and outreach activities.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends.
