Join Our Team as an Admissions Associate at our Arizona, Mesa Campus. SUMMARY: The Admissions Associate is an effective listener and questioner. Prospective students possess a range of experiences, motivations, fears, and goals. It's the Admissions Associate's job to uncover all of those and guide students to career and life paths that maximize their potential. Like a counselor or coach, the Admissions Associate works one-on-one with students, developing solid professional relationships, advocating personalized courses of action, and providing clear pathways for their students to proceed. Admissions Associates work on campus and off. Half their time is spent enrolling prospective students. The other half is spent generating personally developed inquiries in an effort to enrich the lives of more people with the life-changing experience of a college education.The Admissions Associate must uphold the philosophy and mission of California Aeronautical University while instilling positive and progressive attitude in all employees.JOB REQUIREMENTS include but are not limited to the following:COMPLIANCE:• Responsible for compliance with all local, state, accreditation and federal regulations• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and security of campus files, documents and reports• Ensure and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures• Responsible for complete and accurate timekeeping• Conduct all communication consistent with company-approved materials and policiesESSENTIAL DUTIES:• Conduct all duties and responsibilities ethically and professionally;• Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in education• Conduct all duties and responsibilities to achieve a win-win situation for students and the University• Listen to applicants needs• Possess a mastery of California Aeronautical University history, features, benefits, and program information• Conduct career planning sessions according to guidelines• Ensure accurate completion and prompt submission of all enrollment documents• Provide thorough and meaningful follow up with prospective students• Be a relentless advocate for your prospective students through the enrollment process• Thoroughly document notes and activity in University databases according to guidelines• Maintain professional relationships with students and graduates• Develop professional relationships that promote awareness and interest in the University• Develop prospective student inquiries• Other duties as assigned.COMPENSATION:This position is paid an hourly wage in accordance with all state and federal labor laws and is NOT eligible for bonuses, commission, or other incentive pay as prohibited by federal law.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, set and meet deadlines and manage unexpected situations. Basic technology skills necessary.TRAVEL DEMANDS:Travel to various conferences and/or trainings may require overnight stays, and the number of nights is dictated by company and/or by the schedule of events. The employee must have the ability to travel to various locations as necessary. Must have vehicle suitable to safe and secure transportation. The employee may be required to transport company documents and/or company assets.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business communications. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students or members of the community. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to students, top management and/or public groups.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
