The Clinician is responsible for all aspects of intake and admission processes and procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: maintaining daily census records, entering all intake and admission data into a hospital computer database, handling intake calls, completing thorough intake assessments, determining appropriate levels of care with MDs, verifying insurance benefits, completing insurance prior-authorization requests, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources, completing follow-up tasks pending resolution and ensuring treatment and clinical service recommendations are based upon patient needs. Maintain positive relationships with staff from other departments and foster a team environment.
