This position will work closely with the Associate Dean for Admissions and Recruitment to manage and execute various aspects of the admissions process, ensuring a fair, efficient, and effective selection process. The Admissions Coordinator will also liaise with prospective students, faculty, and staff to facilitate a positive experience for all applicants.Key Responsibilities:
- Application Management: Oversee the intake, tracking, and processing of medical school applications for MCFV using the admissions management system. Ensure all application materials are complete and accurate.
- Coordination of Admissions Events: Assist in the planning and execution of admissions-related events for MCFV, including open houses, interview days, and recruitment activities.
- Interview Process Support: Coordinate interview schedules, communicate with applicants and interviewers, and ensure that all logistical aspects of the interview process are managed efficiently.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of applicant data and provide regular reports on application metrics and outcomes to the Associate Dean for Admissions and Recruitment.
- Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, responding to inquiries and providing information about the admissions process, requirements, and timelines for MCFV.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the MCFV Admissions Committee, faculty, and others to ensure a seamless and integrated admissions process.
- Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure all admissions activities comply with Federal, State, Methodist University, and MCFV's policies and regulations, maintaining the confidentiality of applicant information at all times.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration) is required.
- Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using admissions software and other office technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in all aspects of the work.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional evening and weekend work, especially during peak admissions periods.
- Some travel may be required for recruitment events or other related activities.
