Position Description The Admissions Counselor & Coordinator of International and Transfer Admissions, reporting tothe Senior Director for Undergraduate Admissions, is responsible for providing leadership support and managingspecial tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Director for Undergraduate Admissions.In addition, he/she is responsible to create and maintain a culture of excellent customer service within their team that includes positivity, efficiency, responsiveness, continued improvement, and celebration of individual and team successes. Finally, he/she is responsibletocarryafullrecruitmentterritoryofhis/her own and provide excellent recruitment to students from a specific grouping of academic programs. Position Responsibilities Leadership and Managerial Responsibilities
- The Admissions Counselor and Coordinator of International and Transfer Admissions will undertake strategic managerial responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Director for Undergraduate Admissions.
- Responsibilities may include specific projects, tasks, or management of Admissions Counselors and related activities.
- This position will serve as a supportive leader for the Senior Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
Recruitment Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in undergraduate program offerings within the recruitment team and participate in ongoing training regarding all Eastern offerings, the enrollment CRM (TargetX for Salesforce), document management software (Content), and policy changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for transfer students to the university.
- Manage, recruit, and enroll prospective students within a designated market and recruitment territory.
- Develop recruitment strategies and plans, and arrange all phases of regional and local travel for transfer students.
- Process admission applications, evaluate transfer records, and make recommendations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan for international students, focusing on targets and strategies to increase numbers and diversity within the assigned territory.
- Create and implement communication plans and strategies for engaging international students at various stages of the recruitment funnel.
- Act as a Designated School Official (DSO), create I-20 immigration documents for deposited students, and track their progress in SEVIS.
- Represent Eastern at various functions, including college fairs, high school visits, agency visits, community events, and visit day programs.
- Establish relationships with key personnel at international high schools, community colleges, agencies, sponsoring organizations, and other entities working with international students.
- Correspond with prospective students via email, mail, and phone.
- Maintain high levels of organization, manage multiple projects effectively, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and customer service.
- Deliver effective presentations and speak confidently in front of both small and large groups.
- Communicate relevant information to ministers, counselors, para-church leaders, and parents within the Christian community.
- Visit high schools and attend college fairs in the assigned territory and areas of student interest.
- Implement a correspondence system in the assigned territory.
- Interview students from the assigned territory and others as needed.
- Facilitate communication between current students and appropriate campus resources (e.g., Academic Advisors, CCAS, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Registrar).
- Maintain successful relationships with enrolled students to promote retention.
- Embody values of caring, compassion, justice, integrity, competence, and affirmation.
- Treat all members of the campus community with fairness, dignity, and respect, fostering a spirit of unity and harmony to achieve our common mission.
- Travel to and recruit at various Christian youth festivals in the assigned area and other geographic locations.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Senior Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Status: Staff, full-time, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.

- Experience in higher education enrollment is preferred.
