Job Description:

The role of an Admissions Counselor involves managing the progression of candidates from initial inquiry to enrollment and arrival at the center. Recruits students for the program by making and maintaining a network of referral sources. This includes contacting website applicants, counsels the prospective student about eligibility requirements, pay and benefits, training and educational opportunities, and responsibilities of student, residential or non-residential programs, etc. converting prospects into enrolled students, and maintaining supportive relationships during the student's first 90 days. The counselor is responsible for gathering necessary documentation, conducting background checks, and entering onboarding data into the system. They also assist with their applicants Personal Career Development Plan (PCDP). They are assigned a geographic area and will work at a local job center in person. Building partnerships with local educational and community organizations, such as local high schools, case workers, etc. is also a key part of the role. The position requires on-site presence, Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM-4:45 PM. Bachelors degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications or related degree AND 1 year of experienceOR Associates degree AND 2 years of experienceRelated experience may include: successful outreach/admissions or admissions experience with other youth development programs, Recruiting experience, HR Coordination etc.
