An admission nurse is the first point of contact between a patient and hospital. The Admission Nurse is an in-office setting position; collecting pre-admission screening, patient medical history and ensure all necessary forms of documentation are completed to satisfy insurance obligations. Position Specifics:oDepartment: Admission Nurse in OR oSchedule: Part time, 32 hrs/wk, Days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)oFacility: St. John's HospitaloLocation: Springfield, IL o Sign On: Sign on not available for part time positionsoCompensation that aligns with experience.Education Qualifications
  • Associates degree in nursing is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • 2 years staff RN experience is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
