ABOUT VOORHEES UNIVERSITY

Voorhees University is a private, diverse, historically black, coeducational, liberal arts, baccalaureate degree-granting institution affiliated with the Episcopal Church. Position: Admissions Office Manager

Department/Division: Admissions and Recruitment/Enrollment Management

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Position Duration: Full-time

Position Schedule: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (Extended hours, weekends, and travel may be required)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Perform general office management duties, organize, develop, and implement procedures for recording and filing various administrative forms and reports.

* Maintains records of purchases, equipment, travel records, daily record, and daily activities and appointments.

* Responds to written, telephone, and personal inquiries for admissions information or other related requests.

* Type letters and memorandums as requested.

* Generate acceptance, denial and needs letters according to appropriate schedules.

* Set up files for all applicants and/or prospects to include accepted students, conditionally accepted students, accepted students, transfer students and denied students.

* Manage all Work Study Students

* Process Work Study Students timecards.

* Data entry for all Organizational Management prospective applicants, maintain files and generate

acceptance letters.

* Assist in the planning and conducting of special events, i.e. High School Visitation Day, Summer Orientation, Homecoming, etc.

* Prepare reports and other documents for the Director or Dean.

* Coordinate the re-admit process and ensure proper completion of Re-Admit Form.

* Coordinate the International Student application process.

* Coordinate the Transfer Student application process.

* Input data such as students' name, social security numbers, address, phone number and date of birth on the mainframe, if required.

* Retrieve data and/or produce various reports based on the types of data requested.

* Process new student rosters after freshman check-in and prepare files for transfer to the Registrar's Office.

* Coordinate with Records & Registration Coordinator for accuracy of data.

* Greet customers and others needing assistance from the Admissions & Recruitment; ensure that a pleasant and professional atmosphere is provided for all visitors to the office.

* Control the traffic flow for the office and ensure that no persons enter an office without being properly announced.

* Perform secretarial duties such as typing, making copies, telephone duties etc., and provide clerical support for the Director.

* Perform all other duties as required to support the goals of the department and the mission of the College.

EDUCATION

* Associate degree with at least three (3) years of administrative or secretarial experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

* Ability to compose reports, records, and correspondence.

* Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying operational policies and procedures.

* Ability to understand and execute complied written and oral instructions.

* Knowledge of office management policies, procedures, and practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* Standard Office Environment.
