Our Recruiters develop relationships from inquiry through first registration with working professional and post traditional students for both online undergraduate and online graduate programs. Recruiters are responsible for day-to-day recruitment activities, including outreach activities to target companies and organizations and individuals, ensuring the consistent enrollment of new students into online programs. The Recruiter will thrive on being accountable for his/her performance and achievement of enrollment goals, as well as contribution to overall team goals, with the fulfillment of helping people achieve life and career goals of bachelors and master's degrees. We are seeking a recruiter for our online undergraduate and graduate programs although our recruiters support the entire college through networking and partnerships. The primary market area is South Carolina with North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia also being areas of interest so any location in South Carolina could be a good fit. Recruiting team members identify and recruit individual students as well as develop relationships with appropriate businesses, organizations, and educational institutions within their territory. Recruiters plan their own work week to meet individual and institutional goals. Typical weeks will be 80% in the field recruiting and 20% from one's home or campus office helping and guiding new students all the way to their first registration. - Recruit for specific programs to ensure enrollment of qualified students to achieve term, semester, and annual enrollment goals.
- Identify and develop relationships with appropriate companies, organizations, and institutions that can provide a continuous pipeline of students.
- Identify and represent the college at appropriate trade shows and other recruitment events.
- Execute best practice relationship building and decision making with provided and generated leads.
- Maintain accurate and complete records within Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Analyze data to identify trends/patterns that impact recruitment, to make strategic, data-driven decisions on recruitment activities, and to measure the effectiveness of and recruitment tactics.
- Collaborate with Dean of Online Education to develop and execute recruitment and communication plans to targeted audiences.
- Collaborate with members of the College marketing team to develop fresh, bold and purposeful recruitment materials.
- Maintain current knowledge of contemporary higher education enrollment management.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all online programs of Columbia College, as well as a working knowledge of all other programs to assist all student types.
- Maintain general knowledge of the College's mission, purpose and goals and the role this position plays in achieving those goals.
- Maintain recruiting contact through the first day of class with all provided and generated leads.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in college admissions.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed goals.
- Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills with the ability to positively influence and motivate others.
- Ability to identify and articulate new business opportunities.
- Strong customer service orientation, creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible and extended hours including weekends and evenings when necessary.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, with a valid U.S driver's license.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong detail orientation with good personal planning and time-management skills.
- Experience in Excel, PowerPoint and CRM tools required.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial selling environment and maintain a sense of humor and positive attitude.
