The hiring rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. POSITION SUMMARY The Admissions Specialist is responsible for providing operations support for the Admissions function.This includes data input and processing, phone and email-based customer support, admissions event support, and front desk customer relations. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all data entry tasks from prospective student inquiry to applicant stage including but not limited to, event registration, inquiries, applications, supporting documents, and records maintenance.
- Responsible for the timely processing of all applications and supporting documentation, as well as effectively communicating specific needs of prospective students to admissions counselors and enrollment managers.
- Provide sales support to admissions counselors and yield teams as needed, including, but not limited to, working admissions events, conducting outreach, and advising students and families on phone, email, social media, and in-person.
- Confidently interact with prospective students, families, and educators, communicating key CIA selling messages.
- Responsible for answering the Admissions Inquiry/Application phone line and providing unsurpassed customer service for all three (3) CIA campus locations by assisting prospective students, parents and educators with various admissions-based questions, concerns, and issues from the inquiry to applicant stage.
- Provide reception-desk coverage to include welcoming and coordinating guest-traffic, students, and staff, answering the main Admissions phone line, maintain the appearance of the reception lobby, maintain copies of printed materials.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education:
- Associate's Degree or significant work experience in lieu of an Associate Degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working in higher education, student services or in a related, professional customer service role or high-volume data entry role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Previous experience in Higher Education, Admissions or Financial Aid departments.

- Strong computer experience, which must include abilities to work effectively with the internet, data entry and MS Office suite products, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work overtime on nights and weekends as required by business needs.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds of admissions recruitment material.
- Regular work requires a great deal of sitting and standing for extended periods.
- Regular work requires the use of a computer, sometimes in excess of eight (8) hours per day.
