Job Position: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Job Type: Full-Time Location: Sioux City, IA 51106 Pay Rate: $34.00/hr. Job Summary: Shift: Hours vary; typically includes two days on the floor, one day in the office, and two days on call.
Description: The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will provide nursing treatment and care to members of a medically fragile home, adhering to accepted nursing standards and practices. This role offers a favorable nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with two nurses on duty at all times to care for four members. Experience is beneficial but not required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities: - Provide nursing treatment and care in accordance with established standards and practices.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure efficient operation of nursing services.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assess and document patient conditions and progress.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals and external agencies as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing nursing care plans.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and healthcare standards.
Skills and Qualifications: - Current RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of Iowa.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in nursing care, preferably in a home healthcare or similar setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work varying shifts.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
