This authority includes ensuring that residents receive quality care and services that are based on comprehensive, accurate assessments of needs and strengths and that nursing staff complete implementation of the developed plan of resident care with evaluation of effectiveness and implementation of alternatives and monitors these functions daily on an operational level. The Assistant Director of Nursing/Nursing Supervisor effectively operates in an organizational culture characterized by team-work, precision, openness, engagement, challenges, reports and deliverable results. The Assistant Director of Nursing/Nursing Supervisor is held accountable for departmental compliance, risk management, and project planning. This position is expected to work weekday business hours (8:00AM - 4:30PM), however expectation of flexibility to meet team member and resident needs on all three shifts. On-call responsibility in rotation is also required.Job Standards:

- Attend at least one nursing CEU approved educational sessions annually related to management/supervision and/or long term care as needed

- Assume accountability for compliance with federal, state and local regulations within the assigned duties and within his or her span of control
- Will assume responsibility to ensure secure handling of information, and will adhere to HIPAA Privacy and Security standards
- Receive direction from the Nursing Home Administrator and/or the the Director of Nursing on overall QAPI objectives for the organization
- Collaborate with the QAPI committee to prioritize and develop QAPI efforts and participate in multidisciplinary QAPI activities
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate clinical decision-making skills
- Knowledge data collection, data analysis methodology and performance improvement methods needed to support and lead performance improvement projects and identify opportunities for improvement
Education/Experience:
- RN license in the state of Pennsylvania in good standing
- Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience in nursing preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience preferred, LTC experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university preferred
- CPR Certification by approved program that meets state and federal regulations
