Job duties may include delivery of Home Delivered Meals.Application Deadline: Monday, December 16, 2024 at 4:30pm to be considered for an interview.Click here for full position description:Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties described below are indicative of what the Site Aide might be asked to perform. This job description is to incorporate any county ordinances created for the position of Site Aide. This is not an exhaustive list of job responsibilities and therefore other duties may be assigned:Administrative Functions:
- Greet and take participants reservations and cancellations for meals. Register new Senior Dining participants, introduce and orientate new participants on the registration and donation procedure.
- Insure proper staffing; oversee volunteers in set-up, serving and clean-up.
- Prepare and maintain records of participant attendance, appropriate information for the meals served record, and promptly forward to the ADRC office on the last day of each month.
- Collect, record and deposit fees/donations received.
- Assist in the recruitment, training and scheduling of volunteers who assist with the congregate and home delivered meal programs and keep record of volunteer hours served. Forward records to the ADRC office on the last day of each month.
- Maintain and order needed food and other supplies when necessary.
- Participate in training activities, specifically those required and recommended by the Nutrition & Transportation Program Coordinator or Division Manager.
- Ensure the site is following state and federal food sanitation regulations, remedy noncompliance when possible or report noncompliance to the Nutrition & Transportation Program Coordinator if assistance is needed.
- Provide program improvement recommendations to Nutrition & Transportation Program Coordinator.
- Assist Nutrition & Transportation Program Coordinator in training new volunteers and Site Aides as needed.
- Deliver meals for the program.
- Follow up with emergency contacts when home delivered meal participant does not answer door per program procedures.
- Follow up with Senior Dining participant when he/she does not show up for meal.
- Insure that food is kept hot and/or properly refrigerated until serving time, maintaining standards of food safety sanitation. monitor, track, and submit daily food temperature log to the office on the last day of the month.
- Serve food and assist individuals needing help.
- Actively participate in the meal program by dining with participants as often as possible for the purpose of meal evaluation and quality control.
- Perform clean-up duties such as washing dishes, tables, appliances, sweep and clean floors and dispose of garbage properly.
- Have a clear understanding of state mandated Senior Nutrition Program guidelines and ensure program compliance.
- Perform home delivered meal initial and reassessments when appropriate for the community the site aid is based out of.
- Use discretion with customers; observe rules of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; maintain non-judgmental attitude.
- Participate in ADRC strategic planning and engagement activities.
Customers:
- All prospective, current or past DHS consumers.
Team Members:
- Any professional or paraprofessional we work with in the serving of consumers.
Minimum QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required at the time of hire or for the continuation of employment. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of related work experience required that involves food service and/or working with special population groups.
- Previous experience working with the seniors preferred.
- Must complete a Safe-Serv Food Service training program and secure certification within 90 days of hire.
- A valid driver's license required.
