A health services organization in New York is looking to add a licensed Adult Psychiatrist to join their growing Inpatient team in the Ogdensburg, NY. Responsibilities:The Adult Psychiatrist will be responsible for:
- Admission and discharge of patients, including psychiatric examination, evaluation and assessment
- Facilitating group/family education and therapy
- Ordering suicide precautions
- Providing treatment of children and adolescents, including individual, supportive, behavioral, cognitive and insight oriented therapy
- Ordering laboratory tests or diagnostic assessments, including consultation with medical specialty providers
- Performing first aid and medical triage, including initial physical examination on new admissions
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of post-Residency experience
- License to practice in the State of New York
- Board Eligible Certified in Adult Psychiatry
- Valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI)
- Valid Federal Narcotics Number (DEA Number)
- Enrolled in CMS and remain an unconditional participating provider in the Medicare and Medicaid OPRA programs
