The DuPage County Health Department is proud to announce an opportunity to work in our Behavioral Health Services - Adult Outpatient Program. Our Adult Outpatient program provides treatment to individuals with serious mental illness through individual & group counseling, community support, as well as psychiatric treatment. Our program is part of a larger behavioral health program that includes crisis services, adult intensive services, residential services, substance use treatment, and justice programs. This position will work out of our Central Public Health Center in Wheaton, IL. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM, 4-days of the week, and 10:30 AM until 7:00 PM one day per week.Can you say benefits? This position offers a full, DuPage County, benefit package which includes:12 paid holidays3 weeks of paid vacation per yearPaid sick timePension eligible positionQualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness ProgramResponsibilities:Manage a case load and maintain regular contact with clients outside of the office, home-based and community-based to meet client need and engage at-risk clients.Act as client advocate to facilitate access to resources and services.Work collaboratively with providers to achieve client goals.Develop and maintain client treatment plans.Provide intervention to support client self-management of their illness.Demonstrate the ability to engage adults and families.Act as a liaison between healthcare resources and clients.Participate in client staffing and team meetings.Demonstrate independent judgment and discretion in making position-related decisions.Meet established productivity standards.Perform concurrent documentation.Maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers to effectively support clients.Participate in emergency activities as assigned.Maintain required training, licensure and/or certification.Maintain confidentiality of privileged information and adhere to client privacy laws.Demonstrate sensitivity and understanding of other ethnic groups and cultures.Adhere to department guidelines for attendance and punctuality.Provide skill building and case management supports to clients in the community.Work during assigned business hours, allowing for flexibility in the schedule to include days and evenings.Training, Education and Work Experience:Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field, and one year of behavioral health experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.Additional Requirements:Designated positions may be required to possess a valid Illinois Driver's License and a motor vehicle background check.DuPage County Health Department is an equal-opportunity employer.
