Who You Are:
The Resident Services Program provide services to support residents, build community, and offer social and educational programs to improve the stability, quality of community life, and wellness of individuals and families.
What You Will Work On:
+ Provide evidence-based case management services to 15-20 families residing at Good Shepherd Village with an emphasis on the adult members of the household.
+ Complete initial intake and assessments of families to assess their needs in order to implement or connect them with services or treatment.
+ Assist residents in applying for and obtaining long term stable sources of income including but not limited to mainstream benefits, as well as OHP, TANF, SNAP, Head Start and other programs for which they are eligible.
+ Use Housing First and harm reduction interventions and methodologies to provide resident centered services that support them in retaining their housing.
+ Attend at least quarterly training to increase knowledge of effectively meeting residents' needs (co-occurring disorders, harm reduction, cultural responsiveness, etc.).
+ What You Bring:
Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements/Preferences
+ Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, early childhood education or equivalent lived and or worked experience required. Master's degree in Social Work or in related field preferred, with 3 years' experience working with diverse populations and families in crisis.
Experience Requirements/Preferences
+ 1 year case management required. 3 + years of case management experience within social services, homeless services and/or a PSH setting, preferred.
+ Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Background and MVR Screening:
Satisfactory results from pre-employment criminal and civil background screening required. Motor vehicle records (MVR) review required as needed.
