Job Summary:Insight's proactive, patient centric and empathetic Advanced Practice Provider will join ourgrowing team of medical professionals to support our Wound Care in providing patient caresecond to none! WE ARE INSIGHT, envisioning and implementing a holistic approach towound treatment is our goal. Patients and families seeking effective wound treatment can trust in our highly skilled and renowned medical professional. Our Advanced Practice Provider role directly supports the Insight Hospital and Medical Center-Hospital and Wound Center supporting both the staff and patient case load. Services provided at the Coldwater Wound include but not limited to: diabetic ulcers, delayed healing wounds, vascular wounds, pressure injuries, post-op wounds and more. We support a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team which includes, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Podiatry, and Wound Care Specialists to provider comprehensive care to our patients
Duties: - Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis.
- Performing physical exams and patient observations.
- Consulting with healthcare professionals and families.
- Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries.
- Administer and analyzing diagnostic tests.
- Monitoring and operating medical equipment.
- Diagnosing health issues
- Recording patients medical histories and symptoms. Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies.
- Detects changes in patients health
- Training patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury.
Qualifications: - Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Master's degree from an accredited nursing or PA program.
- Previous experience within field or related work environment is preferred
- Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Michigan.
- Certification as CWS/CWON/CWOCN preferred but not required for NP
- For PA must have PA-C and Certificate of Authority to practice is required.
- Prescriptive authorization.
- Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
- Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology.
- A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of disease prevention.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy.
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement.
