Must be a US citizen. This is an Onsite role in Phoenix, AZ.

Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell AERO. You will use your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • This position is for a Software Engineer in the Flight Control CoE organization Air Data group.
  • The successful candidate will work with a group of local and global resources and will be responsible for software development and certification activities for both Commercial and Military Air Data programs.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

You Must Have:

  • BS or higher degree in software or computer engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in avionics product software and system development and certification.
  • Must be a US citizen.

We Value:

  • Strong engineering background in design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software for complex avionic products
  • Proficiency and experience in C and knowledge of Assembly programing languages
  • Working knowledge of software Simulators and Emulators
  • Knowledge of Air Data systems and software requirements and designs
  • Experience and knowledge of FAA standards such DO-178B, and DO-254
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, bias for action, high energy, results driven, strong communication, teaming, and coordination skills.
  • Must have demonstrated skills/abilities in the following areas:
    • capability to multi-task and manage competing priorities, drive and meet stretch goals
    • Ability to work across organizational boundaries, builds relationships quickly, and deals with ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of Air Data systems and software requirements and designs is a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of Jira and Bitbuckt is a plus
