Thank you for considering a career at Mercy Health!Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Work Shift:Days/Evenings (United States of America)Summary:Performs various general duties and assists in the provision of patient care of all age groups as directed by the Registered Nurse and Organizational Leadership. Provides direct care for patients, answers call lights, performs clerical/courier/transporter functions. Collects data through a variety of means including observation and through the use of instrumentation. Recognizes and communicates pertinent information to multidisciplinary teams to ensure prompt attention to patientand departmental needs.Minimum Education:High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education:2 year/Associate DegreeRequired Licensure/Certifications:Completion of state approved nurse aide competency/testing and/or experience as a LPN, Medical Assistant or equivalent health care education/experience. Will also consider students who have successfully completed two (2) semesters of clinical professional nursing education. CPRMinimum Qualifications:* Previous direct care experience in a patient care environment.* CPR trained or successful completion of approved CPR course within 30 days of hire.* Maintains and Demonstrates competency in required clinical skills/competencies.* Demonstrates computer literacy and basic technological abilities or completion of basic computer class.* Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions and patient information.
