Patient visits include both in person and virtual appointment types. The APP will work autonomously, as well as part of an interdisciplinary team including medical assistants, nurses, physicians, and pharmacists, to provide high-quality, cost-effective care. The APP will be held accountable for quality metrics, HCC coding , patient satisfaction, and chart closure data. The APP will work, in conjunction with the care team, to respond to patient messages, return patient phone calls, and follow-up on diagnostic testing. After hours and weekend call is required and is distributed evenly among all primary care providers.The APP reflects the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital and Tampa General Medical Group and practices in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures, professional guidelines and other state and regulatory requirements.Qualifications: Current APRN or physician assistant licensure in the state of FL. Current physician assistant, family nurse practitioner, and/ or adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner board certification required.Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in a primary care setting. This includes both face-to-face and telehealth patient visits.
