TGH is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).Job SummaryPosition Summary: The Vascular Surgery APP (Aorta Program Lead) will be responsible for helping to manage the clinical care of patients in the Aortic Disease Program within the Vascular Surgery Center of Excellence. The Aorta Program Lead will work closely with faculty and staff from vascular and cardiac surgery to provide high-quality care to patients with aortic disease (aneurysms, dissections, etc). They will also ensure the smooth development, implementation, and operation of the Aorta program. The position will be focused on the outpatient care of patients in the clinical practice.ResponsibilitiesIndependently evaluate and develop treatment plans for New and Established patients in outpatient clinicDevelop and oversee pre- and post-operative outpatient protocols for patients with aortic diseaseWork closely with Aortic Program Nurse Navigator and other vascular staff to coordinate the pre- and post-operative care of patientsParticipate in aortic-related clinical research and publication activitiesCollaborate with the quality improvement team to identify opportunities for quality projects and maintenance of associated registriesEducate patients, families, and healthcare providers about aortic aneurysms/dissection and their managementKeep abreast of current best practices, guidelines, and developments in the patient populationQualificationsPA and/or NP, with Acute Care or Gerontology certification is eligible for this role. Vascular Surgery experience is preferred.
