Overview OSF Medical Group, part of OSF HealthCare, seeks a infectious disease nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join a robust and growing practice. Responsibilities:
- Practice includes outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative service, with rounding at Saint Anthony Medical Center and managing outpatient antibiotics at outpatient specialty clinic located at Guilford Square Specialty Clinic Rockford
- Work in collaboration with two experienced fellowship trained Infectious Diseases physicians, Infectious Diseases service also has a full time APN, two Registered nurses , and a dedicated outpatient clinic located in the same campus as ENT, Audiology, Neurology and Primary care
- Excellent Ambulatory Care Center located within OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center for infusions.
- Strong support and collaboration from OSF Home Health and Pharmacy, with employed infectious disease pharmacist and system wide antibiotic stewardship program already in place
- Practice has a growing Adult HIV population, Hepatitis C management and Travel and immunization clinic
- Opportunity for committee involvement both at the hospital and within the medical group, including Infection Control and Quality.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with infectious diseases.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and adjust treatments based on patient progress and lab results.
- Educate patients and their families about infectious diseases, prevention, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with infectious disease specialists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
- Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in primary care or a related field is preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
