Summary:You will work closely with the Human Resources Director and HR Coordinator to successfully execute the functions of the Human Resources Department at Adventure Aquarium. Your primary areas of responsibility will be full life cycle recruiting, offboarding, and HRIS Maintenance. This role may work remotely 1-2 days/week.What you'll do
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Create job postings
- Source Candidates
- Conduct Culture Interviews
- Schedule interviews
- Attend local job fairs as needed
- HR Analysis and Reporting
- Offboarding:
- Facilitate termination process (communication, HRIS, IT Tickets, Reporting, etc.)
- Unemployment administration
- Respond to Verification of Employment requests
- Administrative Support:
- Update employee records through HRIS
- Maintain electronic employee files
- Help organize and maintain HR shared folders
- Assist with Human Resources Initiatives and projects as assigned
- Help create and administer employee recognition initiatives
- Serve on AAQs Engagement Committee
What you'll bring
- 1-2 years related experience; prior experience in recruitment, preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential material responsibly
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team
- Ability to work some holidays and occasionally weekends and evenings
- Knowledge of Employment Law best practices, state and federal laws preferred
