Job Description

The Advisor - Video Production is an experienced videographer, editor, and visual storyteller who identifies opportunities and edits video content English and/or Spanish for bilingual incumbents, to drive fundraising and supporter recruitment and retention through audience-led video creative. The person in this position collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to plan, create, and produce best-in-class video content that aligns to business priorities and helps drive successful fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the ALSAC strategic plan. The added ability to edit video content in Spanish is a plus

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Serves as an advisor for planning and executing digital video asset gathering with key stakeholders, including Performance Marketing team, ALSAC/St. Jude executives, corporate partners, celebrities, influencers, donors, ALSAC/St. Jude Board of Directors and Governors, and St. Jude staff. Collaborates with Creative and Content team members to identify opportunities and scale storytelling to align with key business priorities while fostering a culture of accountability, respect, integrity, and trust.

2. Concepts, lights, shoots, and edits audience-led best-in-class video content for distribution across multiple digital and broadcast platforms to grow net fundraising revenue, to recruit, reactivate, and retain donors, and to strengthen the St. Jude brand.

3. Creates new innovative ways to tell the St. Jude story across the enterprise. Focuses on acceleration, efficiency, audience segments and motivational insights to design and develop creative and content, furthering the impact of ALSAC's storytelling efforts. Applies performance data to inform creative production.

4. Collaborates with the Patient Family Outreach Team to strategize content gathering for HIPAA-compliant marketing distribution.

5. Assists in the operation of the ALSAC production studio, including operation and maintenance of camera and lighting equipment, and the upkeep, organization, and maintenance of the studio facility.

6. Maintains a positive relationship with internal business partners and third-party organizations throughout the assigned area; represents ALSAC-St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in all areas in such a manner as to reflect positively on the hospital and our fundraising organization.

7. Uses Marketing project management systems effectively and timely to allow for forward-looking planning and performance reporting. Ensures content is compliant with all legal requirements, including copyright, trademark and HIPAA laws, and Better Business Bureau best practices, as well as consistent with ALSAC/St. Jude brand guidelines.

8. Ability to safely operate and capture video content with drone equipment, as well as having obtained appropriate FAA certifications, is preferred but not necessary.

* Must speak English fluently.

* Must speak English and Spanish fluently, for bilingual incumbents.

* Thorough knowledge of English and Spanish spelling and grammar for bilingual incumbents.

* Expert-level skill in the technical aspects of video production, including hands-on experience with shooting, lighting, and non-linear editing. Experience with AVID preferred.

* Knowledge of how to conceptualize and present an idea and tell a compelling story through video.

* Bachelor's degree in video production-related field and 5-10 years of production experience.

* Requires the ability to create motion graphics. Knowledge Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D preferred.

* Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Audition, and Microsoft Office applications.

* Ability to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations.

* Ability to understand complex verbal and written instructions.
