Parent Advocate for Minor Victims of Trafficking Program

Program Description: Our intervention program is dedicated to equipping juveniles navigating the intersection of human trafficking and street life with the education, skills, and support necessary for sustainable life transformation. Our comprehensive program encompasses mental health services for both youth and their families, personalized case management, mentorship opportunities, hands-on experiential learning, and peer support and advocacy initiatives.
Position Description: A compassionate and dedicated Parent Advocate responsible for providing support, advocacy, and guidance to parents or guardians of minor victims of trafficking. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Parent Advocate will empower parents to navigate legal, social, and educational systems to ensure the safety, well-being, and recovery of their children. This position requires a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by families impacted by trafficking and a commitment to empowering parents to advocate effectively on behalf of their children.

Program Location: Western Suffolk County, New York
Days & Hours: Part-time. The position entails dealing with families in crisis, so the candidate must have a flexible schedule. Mainly late morning into evening hours. Weekends as needed.

Salary: Commensurate with educational and professional experience.
$25-$30/hrs for 21 to 24 hours a week.
