Discover a more connected Aerial Construction Laborer career!At White Mountain Cable as an Aerial Construction Laborer you'll gain knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques including the placement of poles and anchors, familiarity with a wide range of tools and equipment, ability to read and understand prints/maps, safety rules, and operating instructions.Compensation: $20 - $25 per hourConnecting you to great benefitsPaid TrainingWeekly PaychecksPaid Time Off, Parental Leave, and HolidaysInsurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)401(k) w/ Company MatchStock Purchase PlanEducation ReimbursementLegal InsuranceDiscounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more!What you'll do as an Aerial Construction LaborerPerform general labor duties related to telecommunications construction: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipmentInstall and repair aerial telecommunications cableSafely use hand tools and equipment such as; wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and moreSafely operate mechanized equipment such as; bucket trucks, digger derrick, excavators, and moreSetting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriersFlagging traffic when requiredSafely work aloft using climbing hooks and laddersWhat you'll needTo be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyValid driver's licensePrevious construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniquesAbility to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feetAble to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistanceAbility to set up & maintain safe work areasAbility to work in all weather conditionsPhysical abilities & exposuresThis role routinely requires extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.Compensation: $20 - $25 per hourWhy work with usYour career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
