At CESD, we are a team of creative and dynamic people who value one another as family and are connected by a shared belief in the success of our children.Job SummaryBASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Superintendent and the After School Care Coordinator, organize and monitor students participating in programs related to after school care. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Supervise students on campus after school and other activities; discipline students according to established guidelines -Assure the health, safety, and welfare of students in the After School Care Program KNOWLEDGE OF: -Games and sports for children -School safety rules -Standards of courtesy to be observed by children ABILITY TO: -Plan and organize work -Complete work with many interruptions -Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures -Communicate effectively both orally and in writing -Maintain consistent, punctual, and regular attendance -Supervise children in the cafeteria and at play -Maintain acceptable standards of behavior among children -Should have a pleasant personality, dependable and be able to establish and maintain cooperative relations with others PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: -Can lift objects up to 25 lbs. on a routine basis -Can see to monitor students and read a variety of materials -Can sit or stand for extended periods of timeRequirements / QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: -High School diploma or equivalent is required PLEASE PROVIDE: -Three recommendations upon request LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: -Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance -TB ClearanceComments and Other InformationAN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Colfax Elementary School District does not discriminate on the basis of color, race, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender, ethnic group identification, mental or physical disability in its educational programs, activities, or employment.
