Principal Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:The After School Counselor is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students during after-school hours. The counselor will provide supervision, facilitate activities, and support students' social, emotional, and academic development. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children and adolescents.
Minimum Qualifications:- Supervision and Safety:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students under your care.
- Supervise and monitor students during after-school activities, including sports, art, and free time.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Behavior Management:
- Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere within the program.
- Address behavioral issues promptly and constructively, using established protocols.
- Promote and model positive behavior and conflict resolution skills.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open and effective communication with co-workers and Director.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive program.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of program materials and spaces.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework in education, child development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a supervisory or educational role.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check and child protection clearance (as required by state or local regulations).
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.

Our year-round educational childcare includes UPK, after-school program, summer camp, and youth sports offerings.The 8-acre land also features outdoor tennis/pickleball and basketball courts, pavilion, nature preserve, soccer field, and three age-appropriate playground facilities.
