Job Description:

The Aftermarket Support Engineer will provide specialized services for equipment within the LINDEMANN portfolio for customers in North America. In addition, you will support the Lindemann project/product team for both new equipment and new component processes. This role also provides installation and commissioning support associated with Lindemann projects. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Provide specialized and process knowledge in the following areas: maintenance and operations, incidental and specialized requests, and troubleshooting problems with regard to Lindemann equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic.
  • Check and document any functional deviations of LINDEMANN machines installed at customers.
  • Provide specialized and practical services during installation, checkout, start-up and commissioning to ensure the safety and proper assembly of equipment and systems, in accordance with the projects and contract design requirements.
  • Support Supply Chain department with supplier development activities and projects.
  • Support Sales/After-sales department in identifying spare parts and engineering drawings.
  • Attend internal and external meetings to support customer design requirements.
  • Review with After-sales team the scope of engineering projects containing systems of varying engineering disciplines; analyze customer requirements; and communicate challenges and/or problems for execution.
  • Provide expertise in the form of field dispositions, engineering work requests, redlines, and revisions.
  • Support Product Management by standardizing and harmonizing select product portfolios.
  • Contribute to and support sales and service proposals.
  • Comply with HSE policy and practices.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • 5 years' experience in specialized assistance/support
  • Reading and understanding mechanical drawings
  • Reading and understanding electrical/hydraulic diagrams preferred
  • Experience in troubleshooting via remote connection
  • Oral and written English
  • Availability for national and international travel (up to 50%-60% of the time)
  • Valid driver's license class C
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficiency in using CAD programs
DIFFERENTIALSIt will be a plus if you have the following qualifications:
  • Oral and written Spanish a plus
  • Proficiency with IT tools, CRM (Salesforce) and ERP/integrated system (SAP)
  • Knowledge of programming programmable logic controllers, including HMI (Siemens S7/TIA, AB-Rockwell)
  • Experience with metal recycling equipment
  • Experience with material handling equipment
