Overview:
Are you a trustworthy and enthusiastic individual with a passion for education? We are seeking a dedicated person to teach debate-centered education classes at various local park district locations. This role involves teaching introductory-level classes to young students aged 6-12. Prior experience in debate is not required, though experience in primary or secondary school teaching is appreciated.
Responsibilities:
- Review curriculum and job training before each class, demonstrating eagerness to ask questions and learn.
- Positively engage with students while maintaining effective classroom management.
- Arrive at in-person locations punctually, take attendance, and communicate effectively with parents.
Requirements:
- Background check and drug testing will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
- Prior teaching/tutoring experience is required.
- Prior experience in teaching at primary or secondary school levels is a plus.
- Illinois PEL is a huge plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage young students.
