- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports;
- Ability to adapt activities for children with disabilities so that inclusion (interaction with children with and without disabilities can participate together) can occur.

Functions and Duties This is a responsible part-time position directing the operation of an organized afterschool program, reporting to the Center Supervisor. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Scheduling and supervising afterschool counselors;
- Managing daily operation of enrichment curriculum established by BREC Administrative staff;
- Assisting supervisor with adjustments to curriculum as dictated by weather or unforeseen circumstances;
- Managing and supervising staff interaction with youth and interaction among staff;
- Relating programs and policies of the program;
- Active supervision of youth;
- Keeping accurate daily attendance records;
- Promoting, organizing and stimulating good relationships with between BREC and participant's parents;
- Interpreting and communicating the nature of the afterschool program and its recreation philosophy to individuals through enrichment activity and assignments.
