Job Summary:The Agricultural Equipment Operator position supports the agronomic operations. This person operates agricultural equipment for research and production activities. This person performs set up and calibration of equipment and performs basic maintenance and repairs. DiplomaQualifications:Required-Ability to operate tractors, tractors with loaders, and skid loaders for agronomic functions such as soil tillage, fertilizer application, planting/seeding, and crop harvest.- Ability to perform general farm operations of loading and unloading materials, snow removal and care of animal facilities including cleaning, loading, and hauling animal waste.-Ability to operate all-terrain vehicles, utility terrain vehicles, and pickup trucks for general farm use on and off road.-Ability to set up, calibrate, and make adjustments to farm equipment as required to meet research and field condition needs.-Ability to perform general farm facilities maintenance and repairs.Preferred Qualifications:-Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs for tractors, skid loaders, pick-up trucks, all terrain vehicles, and various farm equipment.-Ability to apply pesticides for agricultural purposes and attain a pesticide applicator license.-Beef cattle production and grazing experience.Work Schedule:Normal hours are 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional nights and weekends may be required for this position.Work Type:Full Time: 100%It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.Appointment Type, Duration:Ongoing/RenewableSalary:Minimum $21.41 HOURLYDepending on QualificationsThe anticipated salary range for this position is $21.41 - $23.00 per hour. However, final salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
