Job DescriptionGpac is working with a nationally known agricultural company looking to hire an Agriculture Labor Manager. As the Agriculture Labor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating labor activities on the farms. This role involves managing a team of farm workers, ensuring efficient labor utilization, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Farm Labor: Direct and oversee the work of farm laborers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
- Labor Planning: Develop and implement labor schedules based on seasonal demands and crop cycles.
- Training and Development: Train new hires on-farm procedures, safety protocols, and best practices. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for the team.
- Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and ensure all farm operations adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
- Resource Management: Coordinate with farm management to optimize labor resources and maximize productivity.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of labor hours, activities, and productivity metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- Spanish Speaking abilities required
- Proven experience in agricultural labor management, with proven years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices, equipment operation, and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
