Job Duties •Can research, compile, and analyze data relating to law enforcement law enforcement practices and activities, and provide detailed, accurate information regarding trends and patterns of those practices as well as the ability to review and analyze data relating to State Police motor vehicle stops, internal affairs, training, supervisory duties, early warning systems, and other law enforcement-related functions
- Can create and maintain analytic databases for OLEPS' analysis and reports
- Ability to analyze and interpret statistical information in furtherance of OLEPS' mission
- Can assist in recommendations concerning policy revisions, training, and database development
- Ability to design and implements specialized research and/or analytical programs
- Has the ability to investigate, review, modify, develop, and test new analytical procedures and methodologies
- Ability to prepare or participate in the production of sound, accurate publications, memoranda, and reports relating to research, grants, and other activities containing findings, conclusions, and/or recommendations
- Ability to design and implement data collection protocols to acquire new and existing data
- Ability to assist with the subsequent analysis and reporting of findings
- Ability to conduct statistical work
- Ability to implement research projects
- Ability to produce data dashboards, evaluate reports and visual aids, and identify trends and patterns
- Ability to, independently, or as a part of a team, develop strategies and solutions for addressing issues and concerns

- Under the direction of the Office of Law Enforcement Professional Standards (OLEPS) Director, Deputy Director, and Supervising Administrative Analyst, or other supervisory official within the Department of Law and Public Safety:
