Job Description:
The Project Manager independently manages projects of medium to large scale that are significant in scope, provides support to the program manager on projects within their program, and helps to ensure that projects remain on time/in scope to achieve specific business outcomes. This position collaborates with program managers, project teams, functional owners, and project sponsors, supporting and executing the full project lifecycle to achieve defined program goals. This position may also act as the liaison between other project managers and program managers for the broader, enterprise program. Primary Responsibilities: Acts as liaison between program manager and project managers to ensure work is managed in accordance with program standards Helps to define, develop, and manage overall project plans to ensure work is assigned and completed on time Helps to access and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle and works with project stakeholders, other project managers and program manager to deliver risk mitigation plans Applies project management, tools, and templates to successfully manage medium to large scale projects Helps to coordinate program timelines and deliverables during all phases of the projects to ensure projects are executed according to plans Identifies, engages, and partners with multi-disciplinary teams across the program to achieve desired project outcomes Provides program status reporting as needed May work on multiple efforts with cross functional teams simultaneously, maintaining accountability of all project delivery work Serves as an intermediary point between the project manager/team and broader program Works with program manager to monitors progress to ensure that emerging solution meets the defined timeline/scope Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related degree Eight (8) years of project management experience Preferences Master's degree Eight (8) years of banking or financial services experience Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Skills and Competencies Ability to create and deliver influential large scale project communications (verbal and written) with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm Strong work ethic and self-motivation Deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, etc. Demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple commitments / projects simultaneously Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and Atlassian Suite (Jira) Ability to learn additional systems as needed Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Understanding of leadership development and engagement techniques in professional corporate settings Ability to manage time and multiple commitments/projects simultaneously Experience in large-scale, enterprise transformation initiatives Experience in IT and Data related efforts Experience in Digital related initiatives Experience with SalesforceSupplier Call Notes: Working on R2 Program-Core Modernization Initiative Responsible for development of customer journeys, implementation of omni service platform, enhancing analytics Help drive execution-launching project plans, managing milestones Serve as Execution partner w/ Workstream Lead Multi-year program Remote-prefer to be based in Birmingham, AL Quarterly planning sessions-will need to be onsite once a quarter Required- Strong execution of PM skills Strong communication skills Minimum of 5 years of PM experience
