DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Aging Care Management Supervisor 1, you will supervise a unit of Care Managers, and one Case Aide within the Care Management Unit.
General responsibilities include:
* Planning, organizing, and assigning all work to staff to ensure timely completion.
* Providing training and guidance on policies and procedures in a prompt and knowledgeable fashion, and providing information to staff on appropriate resources available to the elderly.
* Implementing procedures to conform with PDA program policies, including, but not limited to OPTIONS, Cost Sharing, SAMS/OMNIA, Family Caregiver Support, Domiciliary Care, and Care Management programs.
* Monitoring, reviewing, and approving all paperwork and data entered into the agency database by care managers and analyzing for completeness and adherence to established standards.
* Conducting regular case conferences with each care manager.
* Conducting supervisory field visits.
* Representing staff needs and concerns to administrative staff to ensure productive working relationships within the agency.
* Specifying training needs of staff within the unit and arranging for appropriate training programs.
* Making presentations to community groups regarding aging services.
* This position is responsible for the Personal Emergency Response and Medical Supplies Programs.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Full-time employment
* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* Three years of experience in public or private social work and a Bachelor's Degree; or
* Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.
