Job DescriptionThis is a merit hire position. The hourly rate for this position is $22.05 per hour. Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Aging Care Management Supervisor 1. This position is responsible for supervising Care Managers and Case Aides and oversees the coordination of client services; and assists in training employees in all applicable policies, procedures and methods used with the Agency; and assures compliance with applicable federal, state and county laws and regulations The Aging Care Management Supervisor 1 Supervises Care Managers and Case Aides, based in the main and/or focal point offices, who are providing care management to Area Agency on Aging clients. Supervision is provided through case review, individual meetings and staff meetings, as well as joint home visits with staff, to ensure adherence to quality assurance, PA Department of Aging regulations and Agency policies and procedures. Supervises the Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP). Monitors both state and federal budgets for the rate of expenditure and determination of a need for a waiting list. Assists in the development and coordination of care management, quality assurance and training activities. Evaluates and develops staff performance. Performs staff training activities. Monitors jointly with Data Manager, the appropriateness, adequacy and accuracy of the Unit's data management activities. Supervises on-call Protective Services workers on a rotating basis and other Care Management staff as needed. Participates in the hiring of Aging Care Managers and Case Aides. The Aging Care Management Supervisor 1 works with considerable independence and is under the supervision of the Aging Care Management Supervisor 3. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Three years of experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: At the time of hire, a valid driver's license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver's license under 67 PA.
