In a nutshell:This is anentry-level position where agricultural experience is a plus but will train the right candidate.Duties include, but are not limited to Filling customer orders, general shop work/maintenance, and delivery of products and equipment to our farm customers.A clean driving record is required, and we are a drug-free workplace. Wilbur Ellis is a family-owned company that has been in business for over 100 years.We offer a complete benefits package along with two retirement plans.A sampling of what you'll do in this role:Your day-to-day role will include the opportunity to:Oversee all aspects of field service supportTake out, set up, and calibrate equipment to be used by the growers in the fieldOversee the daily maintenance of all applications and support equipment at the branch facility. This may include trucks, tractors, implements, and any other support equipment assigned to that specific branch.Move and set up tanks as neededAttend product training sessions and meetings when necessaryEnsure that the correct materials are being used at all times and that safety gear is properly used at all timeOperate vehicles and equipment in a safe and legal mannerYou will interact with Wilbur-Ellis customers and branches and therefore, you will:Present a professional image to our customers through personal appearance and overall branch cleanliness.Interact with customers in a professional manner.Contact a salesperson to resolve any disputes.Attend product training sessions and meetings when necessaryWhat you bring to the role:High School Diploma or equivalentImportant musts :Forklift Driver and Driving Certification (offered on the job)Valid driver's license with Class B CDL orthe willingness to obtain oneMechanical skills and understanding of fabrication techniquesWillingness to operate material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, pallet jack and other equipment as requiredAbility to repetitively bend and lift boxes and bags up to 80 lbs.Willing and desires to work overtime hours during busy seasonsKnowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)Excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees Compensation and Benefits: In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $21.44 - $28.63 per hour.Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
