General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Wilbur-Ellis Feed Facilities are primarily involved in mixing, processing, and transferring animal feed, pet food, and cattle feed ingredients.

The primary role of the Plant Operator is to assist in all aspects of plant production, quality control, maintenance, and facility cleanliness. Candidates are well-driven self-starters who can work with a close-knit team to meet customers' demands efficiently.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required

* Willingness to operate material handling equipment, including a forklift, skid steer, and other equipment, as required

* Ability to repetitively lift packages up to 50Lb. (or 110Lb. with a partner) while working in a non-climate-controlled dusty environment

* Good math and organizational skills

* Able to follow written and verbal directions and complete the necessary documentation. The ability to read and write English is required.

* Willing to work overtime hours as needed

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

* Learn and train on all the roles required at the plant (mixing, bagging, forklift, container loading, etc.)

* Operate and maintain processing equipment as outlined in SOP's

* Maintain facility cleanliness throughout all operations

* Perform Quality Control while handling products

* Accurately document tasks performed (processing, maintenance, cleaning, etc.)

* Warehousing, including receiving, shipping, and organizing

* Assist with other duties within the warehouse as needed (bagging, inventory totals, etc.)

* Maintain professional relations with customers.

Compensation and Benefits:

* In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position is $17.64 - $22.07/hr. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
