The Idaho Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting for an Agriculture Program Specialist, Pesticides, in the Agriculture Resources Division. The location for this position will be determined by the successful applicant at any of the following locations: Boise, Caldwell, Post Falls, Moscow, Lewiston, Twin Falls, Burley, Pocatello, Blackfoot or Idaho Falls. Apply Today Key Responsibilities: + Supervise the three (3) Pesticide Training Agriculture Program Specialists. + Establish, implement, and monitor training program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. + Review divisional seminar audits for content and credit worthiness and issue any appropriate enforcement actions. + Assist with divisional quality assurance adherence. + Address program issues in accordance with agency policies for Division Staff and external customers as necessary. + Review examination testing protocols for accuracy and applicability. Suggest changes when appropriate or necessary. + Receive and maintain ISDA investigator credentials. + Assist and/or conduct regional investigations as necessary. + Coordinate with certification examination testing contractor/s to ensure the standards of testing/certification are being followed by all facilities and online examinations. + Review, approve and process seminar recertification requests. + Coordinate with testing venues for ISDA area testing sites. + Collaborate with the EPA and other state lead agencies on updates to pesticide applicator certification standards. + Ensure that all Idaho pesticide applicator exams are relevant, and current with the certification standards for pesticide applicators in the Federal Code of Regulations. + Manage training opportunities for regional trainers WPS, compliance outreach, clinics, etc. + Schedule, delegate, and review the periodic update of all pesticide licensing exams. + Develop a training library using recent pesticide compliance data provided by the ISDA pesticide compliance team to create, update, and standardize outreach materials for Idaho pesticide applicators. + A To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
